On Thursday 19th of May 2022, we released a change to production which was designed to improve the performance of how session information (ie. users access control settings) was being managed by the system.

Due to the increased load experienced this morning, the new session management system effectively ran out of available worker processes for a short period of time (for a period of 10 minutes around 10am NZT). We've since quadrupled the number of available worker threads to ensure we have sufficient capacity to deal with peak usage going forward.
